Get to know German hottie Elyas M'Barek
1. Part-time actor, part-time businessman
Although acting has always been his passion, Elyas M'Barek wanted to prove to his parents that he was doing something useful other than acting by taking up business adminstration in school. However, soon after filming for Türkisch für Anfänger (Turkish for Beginners)'s second season started, he dropped out of school at 18 to pursue his acting career full-time. Now, he's put his business administration skills to good use by opening up his own bar, Paisano, in Munich with two of his friends.
2. Welcome to Hotel Transylvania
Apart from being a teenage heartthrob, M'Barek has starred as a voiceover artist for the German versions of Hotel Transylvania, Monsters University and Paddington. M'Barek has even brushed shoulders with model Rosie Huntington for a Magnum icecream advertisement.

Although he was born in Germany, M'Barek was born to a Tunisian father and Austrian mother. He's pretty much trilingual, speaking German, Turkish and English quite fluently. He has two brothers, and one of them is also an actor.
4. Not quite a free country
Although M'Barek travels frequently with an Austrian passport and cannot speak a single work of Arabic, his 'name has landed him in the secondary screening room whenever he travels to America to promote his film.
