Best art and cultural places to visit in Singapore featuring 222 Arts Club, The Projector, and more
Eyes wide open
Singapore might have said farewell to one of its liveliest nightlife haunts, Kilo Lounge, last year, but there's certainly no shortage of art and cultural spots to find inspiration across the country as you'll find out in the gallery above. What's more, there's an all-new music venue in town. Say hello to 222 Arts Club.
Managed by the party people behind Collective Minds Asia, the 5,000 square-feet space is located on Queen Street in the hip-and-happening Bras Basah Bugis precinct. Its mission is simple, to bolster the local art community with a stellar lineup of "international arts initiatives and music gigs".
There's no word yet on the kinds of arts events that the venue will be hosting in the near future. However, in terms of music, we're expecting to hear a slew of international names from the concert organiser.
While Giles Peterson's show for its official opening on 14 February had to be postponed regrettably because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, March is looking to be a helluva exciting time with performances by London five-piece Ezra Collective, R&B singer Ari Lennox, and American-Indian singer-songwriter Raveena currently on the schedule. Get your tickets now!
222 Arts Club is located at 222 Queen Street and is currently available for private hire. For more event updates, follow 222 Arts Club on IG.
