PFW SS18: The chicest beauty looks
Paris ended the SS 18 fashion weeks with a bang. And the hair and makeup looks that piqued our interest had that inspiring blend of creative sparkle balanced with a dose of elegance and wearability. Here are the hair and makeup trends that you'll be seeing in the months to come.
1. The graceful liner at Rochas
Almost balletic in its clean, architectural lines, the liner at Rochas, done by Clé de Peau Beauté, can be tweaked to suit all eye shapes.
2. The wet-look twist at Proenza Schouler
Rarely does a wet-look hairdo look this pretty. Add a twist to your usual loose waves, with this directional, edgy style.
3. The multiple braids at Nehera
Almost aggressively in your face, these start from a centre part, and are a fresh, fierce take on braids.
4. The explosion of colour at Manish Arora
Trust Manish Arora to deliver on vibrant tones. Pairing green sparkle with silvery and pale blue metallic shadow, clumps of lower lashes and purple, patterned nails finish the look.
5. The writing at Liselore Frowjin
Why stick with slogan T-shirts? Tell us how you really feel by scribbling words — waterproof liner works best — on your forehead, cheeks or any other prime 'retail' space on your face.
6. The diamanté eye ring at Dries Van Noten
Take your spare crystals and use them as a main accent around your eyes. Just keep them clear or one-toned to avoid a disco-effect.
7. The bright mouth at Sonia Rykiel
We love the shade of this vibrant, scarlet lip that is prettily prim and oh-so-feminine.
8. The artistic eyes at Talbot Runhof
A smidgen of blue paint here, an eye gloss there. We're loving the balanced brilliance of the eye makeup at Talbot Runhof.
9. The windswept hair and burgundy, glossy lips at Yang Li
Like a heroine in a Hitchcock movie that is running away from unforeseen terror: Sign us up for this role. To create that deep glossiness, apply a layer of clear gloss over regular cream or matte lipstick.
10. The glitter overdose at Undercover
The models sported different shades of glitter heavily embellishing their eyes, and retro-cool hair rolls that look almost Blade Runner-inspired. How apt since the new Blade Runner 2049 is now out in cinemas.
