The nail trend from the Met Gala you may have missed
Claw-like nails and longer lengths are making a comeback. Here are some of the best looks from the Met Gala 2018

While we were busy picking the stunning beauty and fashion looks that rocked at the 2018 Met Gala, there was one detail we may have missed: The manicures. While some stars opted for basic, one colour, regular length manis, others went for OTT, jacked-up manicures that rivalled their dresses. Claw manicures, with nails shaped almost like talons, were a big trend. Cardi B sported pearl and jewel encrusted talons that looked like a piece of precious bling, while Gigi Hadid's nails had  a similar pointed tip. While Blake Lively turned heads with her heavily embroidered Versace dress and personalised diamenté studded clutch, if you looked closer you would have sported her metallic blood red digits in a subtle, claw-shape tastefully embellished with just details on one nail on each hand.

If the claw is not for you, you can always go for a longer-length nail like model Ashley Graham and singer Ariana Grande. While short nails are chic and modern, sometimes a big occasion calls for longer and more dressed-up nails.
