Get the look: Kaia Gerber's monochromatic makeup from the Alexander Wang show
Girl is on fire
We know what you're thinking. Is Kaia Gerber even wearing any makeup on her flawless, 16-year old face? The answer, dear reader, is... yes. Yes, she is. To look that effortlessly beautiful actually takes effort. At the Alexander Wang squad, where people gushed about Gerber's confident and bouncy, '90s supermodel walk, she was also looking seriously flawless thanks to the Nars products that were applied in thin, sheer layers on her face. Is that the liquid Luster blush we see being meticulously patted on?
To achieve the look that was created by Diane Kendal, the brand used several key products. To get that moisture and shine on the face, you have to begin with a good base. Start with toner, moisturiser and eye cream, but if you face is looking a bit too shiny, you might want to blot away any excess with a tissue. For the models' picture perfect base, the makeup artists used a combination of the Sheer Glow Foundation, the Radiant Creamy Concealer as well as the Soft Matte Complete Concealer. The last one is a favourite of ours that does an ace job at hiding red marks, spots and even lightly-pitted skin by correcting the colour and smoothing the appearance of skin.
Once you've got your base done, use a combination of the Liquid Blush in Luster and the brand's iconic Orgasm blush in the powder version. In the backstage picture above we see Kendal lightly applying Luster with her fingers to create that sheer, glow-y effect on the skin. After the brows were tamed, the eyes were also hit with the Orgasm Blush — the monochromatic face is seriously trending now — and finished with the brand's Audacious Mascara for separated but natural-looking lashes. The final touch for the flesh-toned look? A slick of lip treatment followed by Nars Orgasm lipstick. Fake it till you make it with this sexy take on au naturel.
