Giorgio Armani Beauty: Get the makeup look from the Emporio Armani fall/winter 2019 runway
Down to a fine art
We'll be honest: while elaborate, high-octane runway looks are often visually stunning, they may feel unapproachable or unwearable for everyday. That's not to say we should completely disregard them when we're looking for #makeupinspo. Especially not when the recent fall/winter 2019 shows have been packed with fresh, versatile faces that have us whipping out our arsenal of beauty tools to recreate them.
At the top of our list this season: Emporio Armani's ridiculously cool beauty upturn featuring "erased" brows and fire-engine red lips. We get the lowdown from Giorgio Armani's International Makeup Artist Linda Cantello, who used Giorgio Armani Beauty products, on how to recreate the look: from the flushed complexion and the impeccable liner flicks to the bold crimson pout.
The lit-from-within glow
Cantello used the Giorgio Armani Prima Glow-On Balm on clean skin so as to ensure a well-moisturised complexion before following up with the Power Fabric Concealer to correct skin imperfections. The Designer Lift Foundation was then applied for those with dry skin; the Power Fabric Foundation was used on models with oily skin. She recommends using a shade one to two hues lighter than one's skin tone on the bridge of the nose and undereye to brighten those areas.
The statement liner and erased brows
The eye is contoured with the light taupe shade from Eyes To Kill Eye Quattro in #4, 'Fame', to widen and elongate the eyes. Cantello also made sure to add the same taupe shadow along the inner corners to add depth. Then, she wet her brush and used the silver shade from the same palette to create two lines, framing the eye for effect.
The Eye & Brow Maestro was then utilised — Cantello opted for a lighter shade than the model's eyebrows to neutralize the natural dark colour of the eyebrows. On top, she applied the Power Fabric Concealer in #1 and used a brush to boost texture. The aim: eyebrows that look as if they have been bleached.
The flushed cheeks
Cantello dabbed the Neo Nude A-Blush #30 on the cheeks, temples as well as a tiny bit on the chin, before applying the Face Fabric in shade #0 on the nose.
The crimson pout
Lip Maestro in shade #409 was layered with the Neo Nude Fusion Powder in #1.5 as a finishing touch.
