Beauty micro trend: Camouflage print
In unexpected places like on manicures and makeup palettes, the camouflage print is anything but basic

When you think of camouflage prints a few things come to mind: Desert Storm, army fatigues or maybe even animals that change colour to protect themselves. Probably the last place you'd expect to find this print is on your beauty products. But Burberry Beauty has chosen to emboss their limited-edition eyeshadow palette with the print in a nod to it's ready-to-wear pieces, weaving three silky eyeshadow shades that can be worn individually or combined.

Meanwhile Carolina Herrera's younger CH line has two scents — one for women and one for men — with camouflage-embossed leather covering the flaçon. Dubbed CH Africa Women and Men, the scents use actual ingredients inspired by the continent including Somalian incense, peppercorn from Madagascar and Kenyan coffee.

Finally, if you want to work the trend with your existing beauty products, try creating a camouflage nail pattern. You'll need three to four nail lacquers in shades like khaki, army green, black and cream. Get creative with extras like gold pyramid studs to glam up this humble print.
