Victoria Beckham is a nail polish connoisseur
Nailing her look
Trust Victoria Beckham to come up with the chicest nail polish ever. In collaboration with NailsInc, Beckham created two nail shades, based on the colours that stood out from her own Victoria, Victoria Beckham S/S 2015 line. She opted for this tight edit to keep the collection super focused. Each nail lacquer is housed in a sleek Fabien Baron-designed frosted, glass bottle and has a subtle window that reveals the hidden nail colour.
Judo Red is a vibrant tomato shade that Beckham calls "the perfect colour between red and orange". The other shade Bamboo White is a bone-coloured lacquer that according to Beckham "goes with pretty much everything that you would want to wear." Always immaculately turned-out, Beckham admits "I'm really girly. And it's nice to look after yourself and have a fresh manicure. It makes you feel good about yourself."
Beckham is not opposed to gel nails, saying that she uses a mix of gel polish and regular lacquer according to what she's up to. While she was reluctant to name the next definitive nail trend, Beckham believes that the classic nude nail will never go out of style. When asked if French manicures would ever be in style again she quips, "Maybe in an ironic way."
As for her beauty routine, Beckham says she sticks to a basic cleanse, tone, moisturise routine, works out regularly, drink lots of water and tries to get as much sleep as possible. But at the end of the day, being happy and content is a crucial part of inner and outer beauty for her. Says Beckham sagely, "Beauty isn't necessarily the way that you look. It's what lies beneath that, and the energy that you give out."
The VVB x Nails Inc polishes are $39 each. At Sephora stores.
