These three movements will help lift and firm your skin
You know what they say about losing weight. It's always a combination of diet and exercise. You can't really do one without the other. Sure there are shortcuts to getting trim, but if you have the time and discipline, doing it the hard way does reap rewards. It's the same with taking care of your skin. Most experts — from skincare brand creators to doctors — agree that establishing a good routine and taking care of your skin consistently trumps many quick fix solutions. Even Coco Chanel herself said, "Nature gives you the face you have at twenty. Life sculpts your face at thirty. But it's up to you to earn the face you have at fifty."
Chanel has updated its Le Lift range that has three different cream textures with a new ingredient, an alfalfa botanical concentrate that enables better cellular renewal at the epidermal (top layer of the skin) level. At the deeper, dermal level, it also increases collagen synthesis. And we all know that collagen is the secret to taut and bouncy skin. But it's not just the skincare ingredients that make a difference. It's the application techniques and massages that can really extend and improve the life of your skincare. The first is a smoothing movement that helps reduce the look of lines and plumps up the skin. To do this, use the thumb and index finger, and gently pinch along the nasolabial folds (by the sides of your nose) and the frown lines on the forehead, then smooth. Repeat this thrice. The second is a firming movement to stimulate the skin's supportive tissues. This time, use the thumb and the four other fingers to pinch deeply along the jawline and the cheeks and repeat three times. The final movement is a resurfacing one that activates your skin's microcirculation. Use your middle finger to rub along the areas that tend to sag — the nasolabial folds, frown lines, cheeks and forehead — and once again repeat this three times. Diligence pays off and over a course of four weeks you'll see firmer, more luminous and elastic skin and smoothed wrinkles.
