This Christmas, Hera Blindness Holiday Collection celebrates genderless beauty in high fashion
Paint my love
Two halves make a whole, they say. We're no philosophers, but if we had to guess, this may have been the spark that brought forth the Hera Blindess Holiday Collection. A collaborative effort by the Korean beauty brand (Hera) and the South-Korean designer duo (Blindness), the holiday collection plays on genderless beauty with aplomb.
The collection boasts a colour scheme of gold, black and deep purple — slightly expected and plenty gorg for the holiday season, making us wish we would find it in our stockings come Christmas morning. The mini makeover of Hera's five best-selling products (Hera Black Cushion SPF 34/PA++ and Hera Blindness Rouge Holic Liquid Slow Matte lipsticks, both available in two shades; Hera Blindness Shadow Duo; Hera Blindness Glow Contour Duo; Hera Blindness Cell Essence) sees Blindness merge the faces of a King and Queen into a single portrait dubbed "Quings". The letter is featured above the illustration in pearls with spade symbols surrounding it, not unlike those seen on poker cards.
"Hera has had a long track record of collaborating with artists and designers," said Madam Lee Eunim, Managing Director of Hera; the brand is much known for its collaborations with the likes of Nicholas Kirkwood, Edith Carron, Hugo & Victor, and Garance Wilkens. "Our collaboration with Blindness this season once again reaffirms our commitment to being trend leaders."
Not restricting their collaboration to the collection, Hera and Blindness brought along a third wheel, aka Singapore Tourism Board, to create a limited edition eco-bag and gift box. The trio used the Merlion as their muse for this 100-set collaboration — available only as a gift with purchase — playing once again, on duality.
The Hera Blindness Holiday Collection will be available at the Hera boutique at Ion Orchard, #B2-37 and Takashimaya Department Store counter from 15 November.
