These diamond-inspired fragrances from jewellery houses are the next best thing to actual bling
If you lust after the intricate and beautiful high jewellery at Tiffany & Co. and Cartier on the regular, but baulk at the prices, you're not alone. As lovely as it is to 'frost yourself', for many people high jewellery is an occasional splurge and not an everyday treat. Which is where the houses' scents come into play. Inspired by their jewels, Tiffany and Cartier have created signature scents that capture the beauty and sparkle of their finest diamonds in a fragrance. Whether you spritz it on the daily as your personal scent or save it for special occasions, there's more than one way to douse yourself in luxury.
Tiffany launched its Eau de Parfum late last year, and already it’s winning fans with its sensuous and sparkling blend of mandarin, iris and patchouli. The juice was created by perfumer Daniele Andrier. The brand is now launching a Diamond Limited Edition of its Eau de Parfum that will retail exclusively at The Shilla Duty Free Stores. In a diamond coffret box, the packaging's elaborate, faceted design is inspired by the house's iconic diamond cuts. Great as a gift or keepsake, this is one little blue something that won't break the bank.
Cartier meanwhile has a new scent, Carat, that is an ode to both the diamond and the seven colours of the rainbow. The result is a clear, pure and white scent that the brand calls a 'floral rainbow'. To represent the rainbow's spectrum, are a slew of floral notes. Violet, iris, hyacinth, ylang ylang, daffodil, honeysuckle and tulip flowers, are layered together to create an intoxicating blend of olfactory hues. Created by perfumer Mathilde Laurent, be prepared to be dazzled by this imaginative, surprising juice and by the Art Deco-faceted bottle that has been updated with clean-cut glass facets.
