Tom Ford Beauty launches its latest Boys & Girls lipstick collection. Find out the celebrities who were lucky enough to get a fabulous lippie named after them

Cardi B is in the news for perhaps the wrong reason — hurling her shoe at rap rival Nicki Minaj at a Harper's Bazaar party. But now there's another reason her name is on our lips. Tom Ford Beauty has just announced its latest Boys & Girls lippie line-up and Cardi B has a shade — simply called Cardi — named after her. The colour is not a 'Bodak Yellow', but a notice-me blue that wouldn't look out of place in the rapper's music videos, and is already sold out on the brand's online store. We guess notoriety is never that far from popularity. But Cardi was not the only special one who received the honour of being in Mr Ford's good books.

Other celebrities who had lipsticks minted with their names include actor Armie Hammer, model Kaia Gerber and Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. Hammer's shade is a versatile pink-red while teenage model Gerber, gets a daring, pop shade of creamy purple. As for Boseman, his lipstick is a stunning deep mauve, that we are dying to get our hands on. And mention must be given to rapper Kendrick Lamar. Besides winning the Pulitzer Prize for music in 2018, he also has a lipstick from this collection named after him, in case you were in any doubt that he's made it. His facepaint homage is a coral tone with a hint of tomato – a colour as fresh as Lamar's lyrics.

As with all things Tom Ford — think Henry Golding's luxurious tuxedo jackets on the Crazy Rich Asians press trail — expect only the best quality from these Boys & Girls. All the lipsticks, which are miniatures designed to slip into the tiniest of purses, are enriched with Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomile flower oil, so they go on smooth and creamy whatever the finish. We'll have one of everything please.

$50 each. Available at the Tom Ford Beauty counters later this month
