Hit the spot

Good things do come in small packages — i.e. an eggshell blue package from Tiffany & Co., keys to a Jaguar, and a six-piece Spicy Chicken McNugget set in 2019 (get on it, McD's).

The sentiment is also reflected in the beauty world, what with everything from nifty rollerball fragrances to sachet skincare hitting the shelves. Housed in slim, sleek, and smaller packaging that doesn't compromise on quality, it is a movement that we hope is here to stay (because clutter is so 2009).

The latest addition to the small-but-mighty taskforce is the SK-II GenOptics Spot Pen. Fitting effortlessly into the tiniest of clutches and handbags, this bad boy is formulated with the highest concentration of WH Smart Cocktail and PITERATM — the star ingredient behind all of SK-II's skincare — to tackle hyperpigmentation and spot-related issues. It comes equipped with a magnetic applicator that allows for up to three times better product absorption as compared to using your fingers. Does this mean lesser product required per use as well as a significantly more hygienic experience each time? That's a yes.

To use, simply place the metal-tip onto affected areas and push the nozzle to dispense the product. Then, rotate the product in soothing motions to work the essence deep into skin. It is as easy as one, two, three — and significantly less pricey than laser treatments for eradicating those pesky dark spots. Available exclusively at The Shilla Duty Free in Changi Airport from 11 February, we recommend you snap 'em up and stow them in your carry-on the next time you fly out.

Available at all SK-II travel retail counters from 1 March
