Suki Waterhouse is in love for Salvatore Ferragamo
Just say amo
Perfume houses are always trying to create the next big thing when it comes to fragrances. And Salvatore Ferragamo's latest scent is no execption, with Amo Ferragamo, a fragrance that recalls old school Italian glamour. Even model turned actress Suki Waterhouse, who fronts the campaign, has a slight la dolce vita vibe in the visuals — thinks voluminous blonde locks (ala Brigitte Bardot) and sexy, smudged eye makeup. Shot by Ellen von Unwerth, the power duo manage to bring out the modern femininity that the scent espouses.
Amo is described as a daring scent that belongs to the Oriental floral category — distinguishing it immediately from the more common fruity florals or light florals that houses release to appeal to the masses. The juice starts off with top notes of Italian bitter accord, blackcurrant and rosemary. The heart note of the scent is a blend of jasmine sambac, mate absolute and rhubarb. Finally, the drydown is a combination of white vanilla absolute, ambrax and sandalwood. In keeping with the aesthetic of this scent, the bottle also harkens back to traditional Italian perfume bottles, but with textured prisms that adorn the flaçon and a baby pink juice. Glamour in a bottle? If the shoe fits.
