You'll love Shiseido's extension of 8 matte lipsticks
Matte lipsticks are not going away anytime soon, but the brands have been outdoing themselves when it comes to textures, longevity and colour payoff. Finding all three in the right combination is truly hitting the holy trinity in lipsticks. Shiseido's new Rouge Rouge comes in eight fresh, fashion-forward shades. We distributed it to Team Buro and everyone found something they liked, from the perfect, flattering nude of Rose Syrup to the punch of orange in Fire Topaz, these are the kinds of colours that are rocking the runways and your Instagram feeds, but are still wearable IRL.
The range is divided into four nudes, and four brighters shades. Think of them as the ultimate lipstick wardrobe with colours that act like your everyday shades (like your trusty and dependable jeans and white T-shirts) to special occasion hues (like your cocktail dresses). When worn the lippies feel comfortable and not too heavy, almost like a lip balm-like sensation, although they are not super hydrating the way a gloss or oil would be. Still, we're liking the attention to detail when it comes to the shade offerings — each of the four nudes can cater to a different complexions from milky to tan, thanks to the clever tweaking of the undertones. Unlike drying liquid lipsticks and some pencils that don't work on chapped and dry kissers, even those with less-than-perfect lips can slick these on and still look good.
