1. Sephora is hit by a data breach across South-East Asia and New Zealand.
Personal details of Sephora's online customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, ThailandPhilippines, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand have leaked. According to Singapore-headquartered cybersecurity company, Group-IB, 3.7 million customer records are reportedly up for sale on the dark web. The database reportedly contains details such as gender, name, surname, ethnicity, eye color, skin tone, etc — all of which is sold at USD1,900 each. Sephora has since spoken up to assure customers that "no credit card information was accessed" and they have "no reason to believe that any personal data has been misused."

2. Fenty Beauty is dropping a foundation suitable for dry skin types.
The Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation — much like its predecessor, the Soft Matte Longwear Foundation — comes in 50 shades with medium to full coverage abilities, longwear capabilities, and a sweat- and humidity-resistant formula. The key difference lies in its inclusion of moisture-boosting, hydrating-gripping ingredients that give a more natural finish — and prevents cracking and flaking, of course.

3. Kylie Jenner's Birthday Collection is inspired by cold, hard cash.
The (literal) vault comprises an eyeshadow palette, three highlighters, a lip kit, gloss, eye glaze, powder, eyeliner, primer, and body illuminator. Hey, not everyone can be a 'self-made billionaire', but at least you can play one by scooping up this set when it hits shelves come 10 August.

4. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas get matching tattoos dedicated to their late dog.
The sudden death of their dog, Waldo Picasso — who was struck and killed by a car last week — inspired the couple to get matching portraits of their pup. Jonas later posted a picture of their newly acquired ink on Instagram, with the caption, "R.I.P. my little angel."

5. Benefit gives their iconic tints a makeover — and adds a new hue to their line-up.
Same ol' formulation, completely different look. These new-and-improved tints now come in a slimmer bottle with a doe-foot applicator that allows for a more precise application on the lips. Oh, and not forgetting the latest addition to the range, the Benefit Lovetint, which comes in a fiery-red that is perfect to commemorate National Day with.

6. Halsey debuts rainbow bangs.
The singer has tried just about every hue under the sun, but she's not leaving the bleach behind just yet. Her latest look: a rainbow-ombrè fringe. Talk about high-risk — or perhaps a clue to her upcoming album? We'll have to see.

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills is dropping their first felt-tip liner.

The cult label is at full throttle this month. Following the release of their highly-anticipated foundation, the brand is dropping their debut felt-tip liner on 15 August. It ticks all the right boxes; think waterproof, pigment-packed, and equipped with an ultra-fine tip to grant sharp, precise wings in a single stroke.

8. Kim K slathers body foundation over a sunburn, and the Internet is freaking out.
The KKW Beauty founder took to Instagram to demonstrate the high-coverage abilities of her body foundation... by slathering it all over a sunburn on her chest. While some were impressed by its excellent coverage, others were decidedly less so. Comments ranged from, "that's gotta sting" to "why do I feel like she intentionally got sunburnt to promote her body makeup?" You do you, Kim — though you might want to slide some aloe under there, too.
