1. Rihanna launches a Fenty Beauty house for TikTok content creators.

The beauty house launched their TikTok account a few weeks back as a prelude to to bad gal RiRi's latest project. Enter: the Fenty Beauty TikTok House. That's right, we're talking a literal house packed with FB products for resident TikTok users to play with; essentially, a space for fans to collaborate, express, and build a community together. Neat. As of now, they're based solely in L.A., but perhaps they'll consider coming to our sunny shores sometime soon...? Fingers crossed.

2. Glossier closes all stores and pop-ups temporarily in light of Covid-19.

Founder, Emily Weiss, took to Instagram to explain her decision, stating that this was done in a bid to "respect calls for social distancing" and to "promote public safety" so as to create less harm and more good in the world. Well-said. Rest assured, you can still scoop up your Glossier favourites online.

3. Sephora US outlets cancel all in-store services to help protect customers and employees from the spread of Covid-19.

That's makeovers, skincare consultations, brow waxing, and the like, mind. Hand sanitisers will also be accessible for use to both customers and employees, while testers will be cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectant throughout the day. We haven't received word as to if it will extend to Singapore locations too, but we should surely hope so.

4. Dyson unveils their latest foray into haircare.

A straightening iron comprising two flexible manganese copper alloy plates, the Dyson Corrale comes with heat setting options aplenty (165ºC, 185ºC, 210ºC), cord-free usage, and superior sensor technology to ensure even distribution through locks every time. We foresee sell-out status the second it hits stores.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills ventures into mascara.

A first for the brand, the Lash Brag Volumising Mascara boasts an intense, jet-black pigment that clings onto each lash, granting maximum fullness and volume without weighing flutters down. The next makeup cult classic? We suspect so. And since we're on the topic of exciting new releases...

6. Colourpop partners up with Disney to drop a Mulan collection.

The much-anticipated, live-action remake is being delayed thanks to the outbreak, but that's not to say you can't get pumped for its (eventual) release. Get in the mood by investing in Mulan themed lipstick trios, glosses, and more — all of which will be dropping sometime soon. Watch this space for updates.

7. Foreo launches new smart microcurrent facial toning devices.

Yes, it's essentially a workout for your face. Relying upon a combination of microcurrent and T-Sonic pulsations, the Foreo Bear — and travel-friendly rendition, the Bear Mini — relaxes the tension points of facial muscles, smooths the appearance of fine lines, and gives an overall lifted, contoured mien. 8. Sigi Skin drops an overnight mask that helps brighten and repair dull, tired complexions.

Taking into account our constant exposure to airborne pollutants, UV rays, and blue light, this enterprising Singaporean venture has developed the Sigi Skin Dream Capsule. Think of it as an antioxidant smoothie comprising skin-nourishing ingredients in the vein of bakuchiol, squalene, and niacinamide — aka everything you need to repair and restore fatigued skin.
