Revealed: Chanel’s stunning new campaign for Chance Eau Vive
With breathtaking imagery by Jean-Paul Goude to accompany its newest creation, the luxury house outdoes itself once again
Chance has always been the playful, little sister to the more grown-up and sophisticated No 5, so the newest campaign dreamed up by visionary artist Jean-Paul Goude fits the fragrance to a T. Set in an imaginary Chance-filled bowling alley — which we're dying to visit — we're loving the whimsical, fantastical feel of the film. Not to mention the gorgeous 50s inspired Chanel poodle skirts on the models.
If you're wondering what the juice smells like, expect the same grapefruit note found in the original Chance, but this time with a blood orange accord, and energetic citrus touches. Created by Olivier Polge — son of the legendary Jacques Polge who created the fragrance Allure and the original Chance — it's his first wide-release scent for the house, as it's newly minted perfumer. With this zesty and spirited fragrance, Polge is certainly on the right track.
