Yes, La Mer is branching out into makeup, infusing their face colours with the same skin-loving ingredients as their luxurious skincare. Find out expert tips on how get the best out of them from makeup artist Violette

The idea that La Mer is developing its makeup offerings will come as welcome news for fans who adore the soft textures and skin healing and replenishing properties of the luxury brand's products. Skincolor de La Mer is a curated, but essential collection that includes foundation, concealer, powder and soft brushes that will give your skin the flawless luminosity you crave.

The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation SPF20, $190, The Concealer, $120 and The Powder, $160
The brand's Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation SPF20, has a weightless, yet rich texture. Capturing the light texture and properties of its popular The Moisturizing Soft Lotion, this luxury face paint hydrates, softens and smooths away the visible signs of ageing. In the formula are the brand's proprietary Miracle Broth as well as the new Soft Velvet Ferment and The Regenerating Ferment, for a smooth and age-defying transformation on your complexion. The foundation also contains the Color Capsule Technology for "natural, pure looking colour that seamlessly blends five of the most sought after foundation attributes to transform skin in a moment and over time." The foundation comes in eight shades, from Crème to Honey. The Concealer meanwhile is infused with the Miracle Broth as well, and has a liquid crystal formula that hugs and then melts into skin for weightless coverage.

The final touch? The Powder that is also formulated with Miracle Broth and is made of symmetrically shaped, uniquely coated particles that are magnetically attracted to skin for an impeccable, translucent finish. If you're unsure of how to use the products for the most natural finish, check out the two quick video tutorials from makeup artist Violette. First she shows fashion stylist Melanie Huynh how to create her signature, satin skin look.

Next she shows Huynh how to create a natural highlight on the skin in an unusual way. Starting with The Powder, she then uses the brand's cult favourite The Renewal Oil for the coolest and most simple way to highlight skin so that it has a lit-from-within glow without the need for too many products.
