If you want good, clean skincare that doesn’t come with all the unnecessary preservatives and scents, try this Korean brand

New skincare lines may seem ubiquitous — so many pop up every week — but we've found that effective skincare with quality ingredients that come at a reasonable price still remains a bit of a unicorn.

Korean skincare company Algovital meets this niche with its Angel line. A basic skincare range, Angel is stripped of any skincare nasties — there are no synthetic fragrances, ethanol, surfactants, mineral oil, parabens, benzophenone, pigments or animal ingredients in all its products. Instead, the range is packed with germinating plant extracts and galactomyces ferment filtrate — a pure ingredient that soothes irritated skin.

What you can expect are simple yet effective products like cleansers, essences and moisturising creams that are perfect for dry and sensitive complexions.

The brand's spokesperson Alexander Lee Eusebio will be in store at Inverted Edge on 2 July to meet and greet his fans. To win an invitation to meet him, simply spend at least US$50 on Algovital products at Inverted Edge's pop-up store or their online store until 28 June. Find out more on Eusebio's appearance here.

Algovital is priced from US$19. Available at Inverted Edge, #01-11 Scotts Square and online
