Up and coming actress Ellie Bamber tries out a three-in-one palette with Chanel's Lucia Pica

Sometimes you just want to look like yourself, only better. And if you're not a big fan of OTT contouring and heavy makeup, Chanel's new Palette Essentielle is something that's worth stashing in your bag. For English actress Ellie Bamber, best known for her roles in Pride and Prejudice and Nocturnal Animals, the palette is a great pick-me-up when she needs to look like an elevated version of herself for auditions or when she's fresh off the plane.

The intuitive palette created by Pica, can be used with both brushes and your fingers. Designed to give a fresh natural look, the palette is meant to be taken with you on-the-go. The concealer can be used anywhere on your face, from the under eye area or to hide blemishes. Pica recommends that Bamber used the blusher shade high on her cheek apples, and shows her how to sweep the highlighter on the bridge of the nose, the cupid's bow and the chin area for an easy, blendable highlight. To add a natural touch of colour on her mouth, Pica dabs the blusher on her lips. Perfect for touch-ups throughout the day, this is one palette you should never leave at home.
