Make Up For Ever's new UV Bright Cushion comes with not one, but three filters, to get you selfie-ready in a flash

The cushion foundation has almost become ubiquitous. But that doesn't mean it can't be improved upon with better formulas and added features to help your base stay on better and for longer. The new Make Up For Ever UV Bright Cushion has a super lightweight formula, yet it brightens, hydrates and protects the complexion thanks to three innovations in the formula. Firstly, silica reflects light and stabilises the pureness of the foundation for a truly flawless finish. Second, the moisturising duo of glycerin and polyol are added to retain water on the skin, so that it feels supple and dewy. Finally, the UV protection of SPF35/PA+++ — using an ultra-fine titanium dioxide barrier —amply shields the skin from the harsh rays.

And just like your favourite Instagram filter, each cushion is also designed with three, in-built filters to help improve the look of your complexion so you appear picture perfect in photos. The brightening filter illuminates the skin — think of it as your brightening function especially in low-light photos. The rosy pink filter is kind of like your warmth function, but specifically set to increase healthy, pink undertones in you skin, so you look radiant and youthful – never dull and ashy. The final filter is the anti-UV filter to prevent skin darkening, but also to maintain your baseline complexion and stave off unwanted side effects like hyperpigmentation and skin-ageing. If you want to be super easy about your makeup, use the puff as it will give you fuller coverage and is easy to tote around. However if you want a lighter, but more airbrushed effect use the brand's buffer brush in a press and spreading motion for that picture perfect finish.

Available in five shades. $64 for the compact and two refills and $78 for the buffer brush. At Make Up For Ever counters now
