Affordable experimentation

New York-based brand MAKE launches for the first time outside of the US exclusively on Net-A-Porter. Find out more

If you're the kind  of person who appreciates unconventional palettes and concepts, then MAKE Beauty is right up your alley. Created in 2013 in New York, the brand specialises in multi-functional makeup and skincare. Besides the usual, modern day staples like primers, matte lipsticks and mascara, you'll also find interesting products like the Face Gloss and the Universal Stick. The former creates a dewy, natural glow on the face while the latter is a lip and cheek stain in a handy, dome-shaped stick. Other skincare must-haves from the brand include a multi-use Marine Salve and a Moonlight Brightening Serum. The best part? The prices are surprisingly affordable even factoring in the exchange rate and shipping.

If you've always wanted to try the brand, but have never managed to get your hands on these babies (their site only ships within the US) you will be glad to know that the brand will launch 30 bestselling products across their categories of makeup, transformers and skincare on Net-A-Porter. We see most of the star products available, though we're hoping the site stocks the Face Gloss and re-stocks the Universal Stick soon. Socially-conscious shoppers among you should also note that MAKE donates 10 per cent of all sales to the We See Beauty Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports women-led cooperative businesses. Says Net-A-Porter's beauty buyer, Janelle Thornhill, "We are extremely excited to introduce MAKE to our global customers; the design-led brand is the perfect addition to our fashion and beauty offering and we love the messaging of personal experimentation." Beauty with a purpose... count us in.
