1. Kylie Jenner is all-set to release a collection with daughter, Stormi Webster.

The 'self-made' billionaire alluded to a collaboration with daughter, Stormi, when she posted an image of the toddler looking over the Kylie Cosmetics Valentine's Day line-up. Eagle-eyed fans later spotted a sheet displaying pink packaging labelled 'Stormi', further cementing the fact that a Kylie x Stormi range is underway. Does this mean Stormi might just become the youngest beauty mogul yet? We suspect so.

2. Dr. Dennis Gross has a new line dedicated to fixing tired, stressed out skin.

Meet the B₃Adaptive SuperFoods Collection, the brand's solution to skin inflammation, wrinkles, fine lines, and the like. Packed with superfood ingredients such as avocado and kiwi, sustained use of its full line-up (serum, face cream, eye cream) is recommended to heal, repair, and prevent skin conditions caused by stress and ageing.

3. Neutrogena updates their Skin360 app by incorporating an AI assistant.

They will also check in regularly to ensure you're on track with your complexion goals by requesting weekly progress photos, which allows them to make precise, intelligent recommendations based on what your skin needs.

4. K-pop star, Yeri, is launching her own lipstick line.

The youngest member of K-pop girl group, Red Velvet, has become a beauty guru in her own right thanks to her distinctive style. Her minimal eye makeup is usually accompanied by a strong pout, shades ranging from Barbie pink to deep mauve. She'll be releasing her line of lipsticks so fans can get in on the Yeri magic, so a collection of matte and satin variations in collaboration with up-and-coming K-Beauty brand, Colette, come 8 January.

5. Jennifer Lopez is making pierced nails a thing.

Nope, bling isn't just limited to your ears and neck anymore. The actress (and legend) sported a Versace inspired nail look on NYE featuring gold patterns, jewels, and hoop piercings which certainly got the beauty sphere buzzing. We smell the makings of a new trend.

6. Kristin Ess releases a fragrance-free, gender-neutral hair-care line.

The range comprises seven fragrance-free shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and hair treatments perfect for those with highly sensitive scalps. Talk about extending the clean skincare movement to hair, right? The celebrity hairstylist also switched out the brand's regular packaging for the Fragrance-Free Collection, opting for chic, clear packaging designed to "work for co-habitators who like to share hair care."

7. SK-II teams up with Disney to release a limited edition Facial Treatment Essence.

The famed Japanese label ups its cute factor by featuring fellow icon, Mickey Mouse, on its cult-favourite Facial Treatment Essence this CNY. And if that wasn't adorable enough, the legendary rodent is even shown demonstrating the brand's signature 'pat-pat' application motion on the bottle.

8. Alche{me} takes on a more eco-conscious approach in 2020.

And by this, they mean replacing plastic bottles with glass ones, going the extra mile to reduce carbon footprint while producing personalised formulations, and opting for on-demand manufacturing to prevent wastage.
