Kristen Leanne x Urban Decay is happening, and here’s every product you’ll want to get your hands on
Isn't it mind-boggling that Urban Decay has never had a legit collaboration with an influencer? As the brand that established itself as the cult, avant-garde label during a time when makeup was all about boring girly pinks, you'd think they would be the first in the market to ink a partnership with a beauty guru when the social media age took off. Perhaps the brand execs couldn't find the right fit or it wasn't the right time... until Kristen Leanne, whose cruelty-free beauty ethos and love for out-there colour got on with Urban Decay like a house on fire.
With over 1.3 million followers across Instagram and Youtube, Leanne is celebrated as the badass beauty guru who doesn't shy away from bright colours, glitter and beautiful tattoos — all denominators that make her the ideal makeup partner-in-crime for Urban Decay. And in the same vein, the collab collection reflects this aesthetic, rocking cool neon light typography that opens up to a contrasting bubbles-and-floral interior. Our must-have? The Kaleidoscope Dream eyeshadow palette with a slew of pigmented, metallic brights that get our beauty junkie hearts beating faster (fun fact: The shade 'Corona' is inspired by her favourite beer). Even better, Leanne and Urban Decay have carefully thought out each shade such that it wears amazingly on all skin tones.
But if you're not nearly as seasoned in playing around with colours, there's the Daydream palette with warm neutrals you can't go wrong with. There's also a gorgeous highlighter trio we can't wait to swatch IRL, and three matte Vice lipsticks that are Leanne's ultimate nude, berry and dark shades. Plus the limited edition neon pink case is totally for keeps. Urban Decay, take our money already.
