1. Kanye West files for a Yeezy Beauty trademark.

Having made his mark on both the fashion and music scene, it seems West is now out to conquer yet another market: the beauty sphere. The potential 2024 presidential candidate just filed for a new trademark on 2 June for makeup, fragrances, skincare, nail care, and more. We're sure his wife — and extended family — would be more than happy to dispense some tips on running a beauty empire.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow launches a candle that smells like orgasms.

In case you were bored of vanilla-, verbena-, and even vagina-scented candles, you can try for one that smells like orgasms, instead. Aptly titled "This Smells Like My Orgasm," this bougie parfumée is now available for pre-order on Paltrow's lifestyle platform, Goop. It reportedly smells like "tart grapefruit, neroli, and ripe casis berries." Interesting.

3. Kylie Jenner drops a sneak peek of the long-awaited Kylie x Kendall collection.

It's finally happening. From what we can tell so far, the collection comprises a couple of lipsticks as well as powder compacts. It also harbours spankin' new packaging that is a departure from Kylie Cosmetics' usual pink fare — instead, we're treated to both Kylie and Kendall's flawless miens.

4. Sephora will be providing a fresh new shopping experience when it re-opens 19 June.

The beauty emporium is back — though not without safety measures and new innovations in place to stem the spread of COVID-19. First on the list: a Scan to Interact feature that brings up key information such as reviews and product ratings. Simply access this feature via the Sephora app, and scan the barcode corresponding to the products you're interested in. Users will also get to "try" on products via the in-app Virtual Artist, which scans the user's face to detect eyes, lips, and cheeks for product placement.

5. Desi Perkins hints at her upcoming beauty line via Instagram Live.

While there's no news at to the product line-up or release date, Perkins did reveal that her business is "coming to life" at the same time that she's "starting a family." Considering how she's now pregnant with two babies on the way, we take it to mean that we'll be hearing about her beauty brand sometime soon. Fingers crossed.

6. Drunk Elephant will be releasing a micellar water.

The E-Rase Milki Micellar Water is formulated to gently remove makeup, dirt, pollution and bacteria gently from the face. Other skin benefits include hydration and barrier-support thanks to the inclusion of omega 6 and 9 fatty acids as well as antioxidant polyphenols.

7. RE:ERTH is having a 25% storewide discount.

This applies to the entire month of June, mind. And not just that, new signups for an auto-replenishment of RE:ERTH's Multi-Targeted Elixir and RE:ERTH's PhytoBright will entitle you to double Rewards Garden Petals — which you can use to obtain further discounts and prizes. Neat.

8. Cardi B got multiple dermal piercings.

Aside from refreshing her nails, the rapper also opted to touch up her peacock tattoo and get three new piercings in one fell swoop. She now sports some bling in the form of a money sign and a small sunburst on her sternum, as well as a diamond stud beneath her bottom lip.
