Justin Bieber is dropping a deodorant, plastic surgery complications plague Cardi B, and other beauty news this week
1. Justin Bieber is releasing a deodorant in collaboration with Schmidt's Naturals.
The Internet has been all abuzz about Bieber's comeback into the beauty sphere, this time with a natural deodorant named, Here + Now. Not much else is known about it except that the natural, vegan, and cruelty-free product will be released in September.
2. Cardi B cancels her upcoming show due to plastic surgery related complications.
The queen of rap opened up about her liposuction and breast implant procedures just a few weeks back, even disclosing to concert-goers at Beale Street Music Festival that she "should have cancelled today because moving too much is going to f—k up [my] lipo." Unfortunately, it seems her physically demanding schedule has finally caught up to her, with the lack of recovery time leading to further complications. This, naturally, resulted in a cancelled performance at the 92Q Spring Bling Festival. Speedy recovery, Cardi.
3. Kylie Skin adds two more products to their original line-up.
The Kylie Skin face wash, toner, moisturiser, serum, eye cream and their very controversial scrub is now joined by makeup removing wipes and a travel bag. Grumbling is already afoot at the announcement of the price of the former: USD10 for 30 wipes. "Could have been biodegradable at that price" seems to be the general consensus.
4. Taylor Swift's new tresses hides a clue to her next move, music-wise.
The star has recently traded in fuschia streaks for turquoise ones, as witnessed in her (dramatic) head flip in newly released single, ME! Word on the street is that this hair change is a nod to her next single. Considering how this isn't the first time Swift has teased new music through subtle beauty hints, we say we're inclined to believe it.
5. Tatcha just dropped a new skin mist targeted at oily, combination skin types.
Powdering your nose and all other matters of shine-control is made obsolete with Tatcha's latest skincare offering, the Satin Skin Mist. An oily, combination skin-friendly alternative to their highly popular Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, this bad boy works to reduce clogged pores, and give your face a budge-proof matte finish.
6. Anastasia Beverly Hills will be launching a collection with Drag Race favourite, Alyssa Edwards.
Hitting stores 29 May, the collection comprises a fan, a blinged-out mirror, and a stunning eyeshadow palette that delivers 14 vibrant, campy hues such as neon yellow and electric blue. Now, if only it came with Alyssa's prowess for a makeup too.
7. Maisie Williams bids goodbye to Game of Thrones with a new hair colour.
It seems GoT fans can kiss all hopes of a Arya Stark sequel goodbye. The actress has been sporting bright, vibrant hair hues since the season wrapped — think pink, violet, and as of most recently, platinum blonde. Joining her in the mane makeover movement...
8. Lana Del Rey debuts an updated hairdo in yet to be released documentary, Sublime.
If there's anything the songbird has been consistent on, it's her sharp liner flicks and loose, tumbling waves — or so we thought. Spotted in the album image for her cover of 1996 hit single by Sublime, Doin' Time? Wild, springy curls and summertime highlights. A welcome change.
