Jeffree Star is dropping a scandalous new makeup collection, La Perla Beauty is a thing, and other beauty news
1. Jeffree Star teams up with Shane Dawson to drop a new makeup collection.
It comes as no surprise that Star and Dawson are working together again, bearing in mind the success of their YouTube docu-series The Secret World of Jeffree Star. This time, they'll be dropping a new makeup collection titled Conspiracy — which is (understandably) raising eyebrows thanks to the implication that both YouTubers are plotting something big to shake up the beauty industry as we know it. Only time will tell. In the meantime, we say start saving some coin for when the full range (comprising two eyeshadow palettes and six new Velour Liquid Lipstick shades) hits shelves on 1 November.
2. Lingerie brand La Perla expands into beauty.
The luxury lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear label has announced that they will be setting their sights on the beauty industry soon. According to a statement released, the shift is a "natural extension for the iconic La Perla brand and creates an exciting opportunity to share the modernized brand and its values with a broader consumer audience."
3. Victoria Beckham creates six nude lip liners that pay tribute to her Posh Spice days.
The mogul's second makeup collection contains six new neutral-toned Lip Definer Pencils as well as a Just Bitten Lip Tint — all of which serve as answer to her long-time search for the perfect nude lip. In celebration, she posted a photo of herself in her Posh Spice days lining her pout. Now, that's a #throwback we actually enjoy seeing.
4. Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson get tattoos together.
Because couples who get inked together, stay together, right (jk)? Cyrus opted for a bleeding heart with a dagger cutting through it that reads 'Rock n Roll Heart' on the back of her arm, while Simpson went for a skull with a scythe on his chest.
5. Glossier drops a new oil-serum hybrid.
The Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid is designed to deliver on a luminous, glowing complexion normally only made possible after an extensive (and effective) skincare routine. The serum/highlighter is said to give an unreal sheen to skin for up to 12 hours. Sell-out status is inevitable. And speaking of intriguing new releases...
6. Chantecaille launches an all-purpose foundation and concealer stick that does it all.
Picture a lightweight, creamy formula that glides onto skin and serves as an all-over complexion perfector, undereye concealer, and spot treatment, thus earning a spot in the hall of fame as the perfect time-saver and travel companion. Available in 12 shades, we say snap 'em up at Chantecaille's Takashimaya counter ASAP.
7. Noah Centineo shaves his head, much to the chagrin of fans.
As if bleaching his beard wasn't shocking enough, the To All The Boys I Loved Before star also recently buzzed his boyish curls off. He debuted the look on Instagram, sending fans into a tizzy — though many suspect it could be for an upcoming role in 2020 movie, Cherry.
8. Crabtree & Evelyn releases a unisex collection that takes you back to the basics of skincare.
The pared-down range comprises essentials such as a facial cleanser, hand cream, body bar, lotion, and shower gel, blending formulas utilising ingredients such as apple extract, essential water, and AHAs with bamboo extract that are suitable for most skin types.
