James Charles returns to YouTube with a surprise announcement, Karl Lagerfeld x L’Oreal Paris is a thing, and other beauty news
1. James Charles returns to YouTube... for a good cause.
A month after his infamous feud with Tati Westbrook, beauty influencer James Charles re-emerged with a 27-minute tutorial highlighting the Morphe Pride Collection Palette. He used this opportunity to announce that a 100% of the adSense profits from the video would go to The Trevour Project, an organisation that provides suicide prevention support to LGBTQI+ youth. And that's not all — apparently, a portion of his profits from his upcoming Sisters Apparel line will also be donated to the organisation. Make amends, not enemies, indeed.
2. A KARLXLOREALPARIS makeup collection is coming our way.
The partnership was planned even before the designer's demise, with the brand confirming that the collection will be set to release in September 2019. Not much else has been revealed, except that the range will encapsulate "Lagerfeld's rock-chic style, fused with a sense of Parisian elegance."
3. Jaclyn Hill is refunding everyone who bought her lipstick after severe backlash.
Multiple reports of defect lipsticks from lumpy, broken formulas to hair-riddled affairs has caused YouTube star Jaclyn Hill to issue full refunds to everyone who purchased her lipstick. Taking to Instagram, she claimed that she "doesn't care about the loss of money", and rather, "will do everything in (her) power to make this right." We'll take it.
4. Rihanna's new hair is sticking around — and is a clue to her new music album, apparently.
Fans were surprised when the star rocked up to 2019 Bet Awards with the same crimson locks seen a few weeks back. Known for her continually-changing tresses, the decision to stick to this hue had fans speculating that Queen RiRi is days away from dropping her new album — as tribute to the last time she rocked red hair in her Loud era circa 2010, supposedly. Fingers crossed?
5. Kim You-Jung made a special appearance at the Laneige Water Bank Avenue event in Singapore.
Renowned Korean celebrity — and newly appointed face of Laneige — dropped by Singapore's shores last weekend for the launch of the label's all-new Water Bank Hydro Cream EX and Moisture Cream EX. Supercharged with hydrating Green Mineral Water and reparative minerals, she credits these moisturising powerhouses for her dewy, glowing complexion.
Halsey's front-page showcase of her natural curls and armpit stubble incited praise and chagrin in equal measure. Celeb pal Zara Larsson summed up our thoughts perfectly, "I loooove the fact that they didn't edit the armpits like most magazines would. Women are not little babies who don't have body hair."
7. Priyanka Chopra rocks an intriguing blonde wig in Paris.
The recent addition to the Jonas clan was spotted entering the club with her signature dark locks, but was then caught leaving in a Lady Gaga-esque wig...? The Internet guessed that it had to do with the upcoming nuptials between Sophie Turner and bro-in-law Joe Jonas. We suspect bachelorette party shenanigans.

8. Estée Lauder is celebrating the release of their new Pure Envy Lip Colour Collection with a fun pop-up.
Aptly called the Quintessential Lip Lounge, the space will see Instagram-worthy 'spa rooms', interactive zones, and makeovers conducted by leading makeup artists in the region such as Alex Cho and Bobbie Wu. Make a visit to the Paragon level 1 atrium from 12 July.
9. Aubrey Plaza sports a killer hairdo on the red carpet.
Uh, literally. The actress chose to forego diamonds in lieu of a knife-shaped hair clip at the premiere of her upcoming film, Child's Play. Scoop it up from Texan jewellery brand, Vinca, if you're looking to add a lil' edge to your mane.
