1. Huda Beauty adds a revolutionary hydrating lip balm to their line-up.

Meet the Diamond Lip Balm. A salve that soothes, shines, and adds a subtle sheen to pouts, we foresee it hitting cult — and sell-out — status, stat. Get ahead of the curve and choose between six gorgeous hues ranging from versatile beige brown to lilac. And that's not all on the lip front...

2. Kylie Skin drops their first-ever lip care product.

The self-made billionaire might have gotten some flak for her walnut scrub when the line first debuted, but something tells us that's not going to be the case this time. The Sugar Lip Scrub "gently exfoliates," comprising a luxe blend of ingredients that leave lips "soft, smooth, and moisturised." Sounds right up our alley. Scoop it up beginning 15 May — reviews have been overwhelmingly positive so far, which is a promising sign.

3. Milani Cosmetics branches out into skincare.

Technically this isn't the brand's first rodeo. But while they do have face oils, lip masks, and hydrating mists in their arsenal, a cleansing balm is a new (but welcome) addition. Its solid texture melts into a silky oil upon contact with skin, allowing for effortless makeup removal without leaving behind any greasy residue. In sum: gentle, efficacious, and a highly-suitable pick for those with sensitised complexions. Fingers crossed it'll be arriving on our shores sometime soon.

4. Paul & Joe kicks off the new season with a fun new summer collection.

No one incorporates furry felines into their cosmetics quite as well as Paul & Joe. Think a summer range comprising sparkling eyeshadows, jelly lip tints, and blushes — all of which feature a cat's grinning mien. They've even written a Haiku of sorts to celebrate the occasion, describing the collection on Instagram as "soft rays of light peeping into your home as your cat bathes in their warmth." How poetic.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills shows off their bold side with a new range of neon liners.

These water-activated bad boys promise to paint your lids in saturated shades that stay on for hours on end. Coming to stores 11 May, it is available in six hues including scarlet, white, violet, orange, yellow, and green. In case you, uh, missed the montage of photos below, they're obviously not for the faint of heart.

6. Gucci Beauty introduces six new limited-edition shades to the Rouge à Lèvres collection.

That's Julie Rose, Louise Orange, Lucy Dark Orange, Elliott Brown, Madge Red, and Jenny Purple for you. Drawing inspiration from blossoming blooms, designer Alessandro Michele perfect encapsulates the vibrancy of spring with these bold lipstick bullets.

7. Maison 21G does home scents.

Since you still have a whole month to hole up in your abode, we recommend you bless the space with some good olfactory delights. Buy them all in a set of four, or mull over Fresh (ginger, mint, blood orange); Pure (sage, green tea); Relax (rose, neroli); and Sleep (lavender, tonka).

8. You can now issue beauty gifts to your friends and family via TikTok.

That's offerings from big name brands in the vein of NYX, L'Oreal, and Essie, by the way. How it works is that users are able to virtually send promotional "gifts" from brands to their contacts through the TikTok app. That translates to vouchers, giveaway sign-ups, and brand best-sellers. Perfect in the time of COVID-19, alright.
