Get your brows done for charity with Benefit this May
Who says beauty and philantrophy can't mix? In the month of May you can look good and do good in one fell swoop. How? Benefit will be donating 100 per cent of all the proceeds from its brow waxing services at selected outlets — and trust us they know brows — to two charities. With your brow wax, which costs just $24, you'll be changing not just your arches, but contributing to the betterment of a fellow woman.
The two charities, Aidha and Girls2Pioneers, both champion worthy causes that empower women, in wholly different ways. Aidha teaches domestic workers and low-income women financial literacy so they can better manage money — an especially useful skill when they return to their home towns after their stints here. Meanwhile Girls2Pioneers encourages young girls to get involved in STEM subjects — areas which women are traditionally known to shun and in which lots of untapped potential lies.
