The fashion television station has expanded to skincare and cosmetics, opening outlets worldwide including its first store in Singapore

FashionTV has expanded its media empire by branching out into skincare and makeup — two categories that it knows a lot about since its content revolves around the glamorous world of catwalk and fashion editorials. Surpingly you won't find heavy formulas among the FTC Cosmetics makeup products that include everything from primers and translucent setting powders to eyebrow kits that can create the look of thicker brows. Formulas are lightweight and easy to use. Star products from the brand include the Perfect Selfie Liquid Foundation that feels weightless on the skin — it has a serum-like texture that is perfect for our weather — and the Translucent Highlighter Powder that bestows a natural radiance without any cakeiness. Makeup from the range is on the pricey side though — expect to pay $130 for foundation and $170 for the powder. However what the brand wants to espouse is a customised approach, where each customer can come in and receive application tips and even a skincare regimen that is tailored to their needs and wants.Perfect Selfie Foundation, $130 and Translucent Highlighter Powder, $170

FTV Cosmetics has also invested in creating an extensive range of skincare that includes premium ingredients and patented technologies. The ranges include Flash White Pearls for brightening the complexion and Crystal Fusion Decollifte targetted at the neck and décoletté. One of the star ranges from the brand is the 24 Karat Golden Hero using the benefits of 24K gold and betoxynol-4, a patented delivery system, to rejuvenate dry, wrinkled and sagging skin. The range includes a peeling gel, eye cream, serum and cream, but the Mega Mask is one of the standouts using ingredients like gold, borage seed oil and evening primrose oil to draw out impurities and then intensely nourish the skin. For Christmas, you can purchase a premium case of products containing key products in the range for $2,400. It's a splurge for sure, but a treat that your skin could use in the upcoming year. The brand will be opening a second, larger outlet in 313 Somerset (that will also carry its accessories) later this month and will also offer machine-based facial treatments in its current Wisma Atria premises, to help customers attain radiant, youthful skin both in-salon and at home.
