Estée Lauder's new fragrance is inspired by the gloss of lacquered, red vinyl
Red, lacquered vinyl is a good look on your manicure and your stilettos. But on your skin?Capturing the scent of the shiny material in a perfume bottle is no easy task, but Estée Lauder's latest fragrance is almost avant garde in its inspiration. Presenting a new facet of the Modern Muse range, in a shiny red bottle, the flaçon seems to transmit the idea of a bold, seductive femininity which is what the fragrance is about. We like that the bottle has a glamorous, late '70s vibe to it.
To create the juice, the brand worked on a dual, contrasting accord structure. The 'Red Gloss' accord is the olfactive equivalent of a high-shine red gloss. Notes include mandarin, fruity black cherry, Rose centifolia, carrot and pink pepper. The 'Red Vinyl' accord meanwhile is an attention-grabbing and luxurious blend of jasmine absolute, labdanum, saffron, bio vanillin and patchouli. Together these accords mingle to create a fruity, sensual, woody scent that's as sexy and self-assured as the reflective material it's named after.
