Beauty brands launching limited-edition pink products in support of breast cancer research: La Mer, Origins, and more
September is drawing to a close, bringing forth the month often recognised for many a festivity. We're talking Halloween, Oktoberfest, and the return of the much-adored Pumpkin Spice Latté at a Starbucks near you (#basic). As much as these are reasons for celebration, there's no denying it tends to eclipse an actual worthwhile undertaking in October. Enter: breast cancer awareness month.
An annual health campaign conceived in a bid to raise awareness and funds for research into the cause of breast cancer, notable beauty brands have been contributing to this movement for years, all of which translates to a donation of proceeds, volunteering, and more. This year proves no exception, with the Estée Lauder group stepping up to develop five limited-edition pink products in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A portion of its proceeds will, naturally, go to the charity. Customers can also opt to upload photos on Instagram posing with a pink ribbon with the hashtag #TimeToEndBreastCancer and #UnitedinHopeSG. Estée Lauder will then donate $5 per post (and up to $10,000 total) to Singapore General Hospital from 1 - 31 October in a show of support for breast cancer research. Now, that's what we call cause of celebration. Below, a lowdown of the goodies to snap up when October rolls around — we know we'll be in line.
