Beauty and the campaign: The new faces that are repping some of the biggest brands in 2018
#FOTD and 'celebrity ideal to bring to the aesthetician' are probably some of the descriptors us mere mortals tag these ladies with, whether it's for their always perfectly tousled hair or their ridiculously symmetrical facial proportions. So is it any wonder that some of the biggest names in the beauty industry have picked up on their flawlessness, and subsequently appointed these celebrities as their new faces? From Korean beauty to giants like L'Oréal, check out the bumper crop of brand reps that will soon be plastering an ad space near you:
ALEXA CHUNG FOR L'ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL
Multi-hyphenate Alexa Chung is no stranger to starring in ads, though it seems she's always been more fashion-inclined, aside from her stint with Eyeko and Nails Inc. Now adding hair to her list, she's the new muse for L'Oréal Professionnel's Parisian Nudes hair colour collection.
KIM YOU-JUNG FOR LANEIGE
If you're a K-drama fan, odds are you're already long familiar with Kim You-Jung's ingénue beauty. Having turned 18, the starlet caps her coming-of-age milestone by becoming the newest Laneige rep, joining fellow actress Lee Sung-kyung on the ambassadorial train.
SONG HYE-KYO FOR SULWHASOO
'Wait a tick, isn't she the longtime face for Laneige' is probably what you're thinking, but newsflash: Song has graduated from the aforementioned brand and moved on up in the Amorepacific family. While certainly not her first go-round when it comes to beauty campaigns, she does have the honour of being the first ever Sulwhasoo ambassador.
CARA DELEVINGNE FOR DIOR
Yes, you've seen her so many times now the novelty is probably wearing off. But in an entirely different capacity, Cara D is putting her face forward for a new anti-ageing line by Dior. While you might wonder how her 26 year-old-self requires anti-ageing at all, it turns out the skincare series is about pre-empting Father Time before the signs start showing up.
EMILY RATAJKOWSKI FOR KÉRASTASE
Lensed by award-winning photography duo Inez & Vinoodh, the gorgeous Emily Ratajkowski has just been announced as the new face of Kérastase. And her first campaign for the celebrated haircare brand? Smouldering at the camera in big hair and little else.
