Crabtree & Evelyn creates three, subtle new scents for the festive season
What does Christmas mean to you? For some of us its a much-welcomed year end break, for some its a significant religious celebration, while for others it's about family traditions and cherishing our nearest and dearest. Whichever it means to you, creating that Christmas-y atmosphere at home is part of the fun. Short of a full-on English experience complete with pudding and egg nog, you can use scents, decorations and home products to set the festive mood. This year Crabtree & Evelyn has three, limited new scents that will bring a slice of yuletide charm into your home.
The brand uses cold extraction technology to create authentic fragrances that smell like the real thing without being too overwhelming, on home scenting products like its candles and diffusers. You'll also find the scents on personal use body products like its hand creams and shower gels. The first scent is Frosted Spicewood that brings to mind a crackling log fire intermingling with the scent of traditional spices. Notes include pink pepper, frozen lemon, lily of the valley and smoky incense. The second scent, Red Berry & Fir, is the sweetest of the three, and captures the blend of fir tree branches with a burst of juicy, crimson berries. The third scent, White Cardamon, recalls a delicious spiced tea with its mix of savoury and sweet notes. Also worth a mention, the beautiful packaging of its gift sets, which were inspired by old-fashioned, cloth-bound books — you know the kind you would find in a gorgeous, old library. Here are our picks of the best pieces bearing these three scents.
