You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn't heard of Clinique. Or Emilia Clarke, for that matter, so Clarke's appointment as Clinique's first ever Global Brand Ambassador of Skincare and Makeup is as fitting a collaboration as any. Both parties have amassed a cult-like following; are positivity advocates; and they champion authenticity in all pursuits.
The Game of Thrones alumni makes her beauty debut in an ad campaign for the brand's expanded range of customisable moisturisers, Clinique iD. With Clinique iD, users pick — and combine — a hydrating base and active concentrated cartridge designed to address specific skin concern, to create a skincare solution tailored to their needs. In celebration of their union, Clarke is helping Clinique introduce a new member within the range: the Clinique iD Dramatically Different Moisturising Tone Up Gel. More details to follow at a later date.
"I am so proud to join Clinique as the new Global Brand Ambassador. It is a skin-care brand I have regularly used and to now be part of that family is such an honour. I love the confidence and happiness it brings to the people using their products," Clarke said in a statement. "Not only is Clinique timeless, but I'm proud to work with a brand that makes people feel included for who they are, and unapologetic about helping them to create great skin — no matter what their skin concern is." Is it too soon to declare this the beginning of a beautiful friendship? We think not.
