Christian Louboutin Beauty’s red-hot collection will be available in Singapore come July
No single shoe label is quite as universally coveted as a pair of red-bottom heels. Referenced in countless songs (Ariana Grande, Cardi B), films (A Simple Favour, The Devil Wears Prada) and books (Danielle Steel novels), it is a cultural icon that has stood the test of time since its inception in 1992.
We're talking about Christian Louboutin heels, naturally. The iconic red-soled stiletto heel was borne from a spur-of-the-moment decision — Christian impulsively painted the sole of the Pensées heel he was designing with red nail polish. Little did he know that this would lead to a wealth of prestige, fame, and expansions into fragrance, handbags, and most notably, a beauty line. The latter of which, Christian Louboutin Beauty, known for its bold, innovative formulations, will be descending upon our shores in July.
Much like its titular shoe, the red-hot collection is daring, sensual, and ever so playful. Citing Middle Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco movement as inspirations, the collection is encased in metal bottles reminiscent of precious vials of yore, all of which taper off into a sharp, sleek tip that resembles Christian Louboutin's tallest heel, the Ballerina Ultima.
The range comprises satin-, matte- and sheer-finish lipsticks, nail polishes, as well as singular eyeshadow pots; plans of expansion are underway. To sweeten the deal: renowned figures in the field Isamaya Ffrench and Mica Argañaraz have come on board as creative director and global brand ambassador respectively.
Scoop up the range during the pre-launch at tangs.com on 20 June, or make your way down to the counter at Tangs Plaza when the counter opens 1 July.
