Charlotte Tilbury expands her iconic Pillow Talk range, Charlize Theron sews a diamond bracelet into her hair, and other beauty news
1. Charlotte Tilbury adds 10 new products to her celebrated Pillow Talk range.
First came the Pillow Talk lipstick, then the eyeshadow palette, and now, liner, highlighter, and blush versions all in the brand's much-adored dusty pink hue. What's more, you can now pick between Medium and Intense variations that feature "deeper, sweeter rose tones." Its extensive line-up comprises an eyeshadow palette, blush, lipstick, lip liner, eyeliner, gloss, and highlighter.
2. Charlize Theron sews a diamond bracelet into her hair to conceal her dark roots.
A US$15,000 Tiffany & Co. bracelet, to be specific. The actress reveals that she did it as her grown-in roots were a "disaster." Hairstylist, Adi Abergel, sought to fix by this by literally sewing the bracelet through Theron's braided part. And while it worked like a charm, she also admitted in an Instagram post that it was impossible to remove after. Maybe she should have just embraced the dark root trend...?
3. Bite Beauty partners up with underwear label, Parade, to release lingerie and lipstick duos.
The partnership sounds unlikely on paper, but as it turns out, both labels are advocates of "embracing bold colour and can't-stop, won't-stop wear, no matter your (lip) shape." The full range comprises three duos: Parade's new Bite Brief with the Acai Smash Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon; the Cherrybomb Thong with the Red Velvet Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon; and the Balloon Thong with the Negroni Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon. We dig it.
4. Billie drops a glow-in-the-dark razor.
The limited edition Glow Razor works exactly how a Billie razor does: sharp, smooth, and precise - except, ya know, it lights up in the dark. The magnetic holder it comes with isn't exempt from the fluorescent treatment either. We still wouldn't recommend shaving in the dark, but those brave of heart (and steady of hand) can attempt it.
5. U.S. soccer duo, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, are the newest faces of Bumble and Bumble.
The newlyweds sure are keeping busy after their second consecutive World Cup win. Hair-care label, Bumble and Bumble, has tapped them to be their latest ambassadors in a bid to "celebrate individuality and self-expression through hair." And in other related news...
6. Taraji P. Henson is all-set to debut a new hair care line.
Meet TPH by Taraji, an affordable hair-care line designed to redefine how people care for their scalp and mane. Suitable for all hair types and textures, its full collection includes 18 products to meet all your needs, from scalp oils to styling gels. Did we mention that it is also vegan and cruelty-free? Talk about treating your tresses with kindness, alright.
7. A makeup artist is pushing for acne-positivity by sticking gemstones over her spots.
23-year-old MUA, Ana, went viral after she posted a series of photos featuring her bedazzled blemishes. She later went on to address the stigma surrounding acne, arguing that skin is "more than aesthetic", and that pimples help "keep sh*t out of your skin." Here's to hoping that this is just the beginning of an acne-positive movement in 2020, folks.
8. TikTok makeup artist blows up on the Internet after she transforms herself into Timothée Chalamet.
You're forgiven for mistaking the 16-year-old in the picture for Chalamet himself. In a jaw-dropping 14 second video, aspiring makeup artist, Charlotte Roberts, morphs into the literal Beautiful Boy with just a few strokes of her brush. According to Roberts, the key is to "contour" and "emphasise those boy brows." Thanks for the tip. Now, if Chalamet needs a double in his next role, he knows who to call.
