1. Carolina Herrera unveils their makeup line at New York Fashion Week.

As if the slew of bold, eye-catching looks at NYFW wasn't exciting enough. Upping the exhilaration factor is the news that the renowned fashion house is expanding into makeup. Their first range comprises 36 lipstick shades in matte, satin, and sheer finishes, eight powders, a cream-to-powder highlighter, a universal mattifier, a powder brush, as well as a retractable lip brush. The goods will be dropping mid-March — though there's no word yet as to its availability on our shores. BRB, putting in our request with the beauty Gods...

2. Maybelline New York debuts a new brow product at the recent Michael Kors show.

Sure, it may have been fashion week, but there was certainly no shortage of thrilling beauty revelations either. Meet your next brow essential, the Brow Extensions Fiber Pomade Crayon. It's a gel stick packed with thickening fibres to grant full, feathery brows reminiscent of Cara Delevingne's infamous arches. Unfortunately, this baby only be hitting shelves come June. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?

3. Jeffree Star drops all the details to his highly-anticipated eyeshadow palette.

Both the J.S. Blood Sugar and Blue Bloods palette have garnered cult-classic status amongst the beauty community. Now, word on the street is that they might just be dethroned by newest sibling, Blood Lust. The full collection is set to launch 21 February, and it encompasses an 18-pan eyeshadow palette filled with purple hues; five lip glosses; an Extreme Frost Highlighter; and more merch offerings in the vein of mirrors, hoodies, and the like. Does this mean purple is the new black? We suspect so.

4. Kim Kardashian ditches her dark locks for blonde tresses (again).

Go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton, revealed Kim's dirty blonde 'do just a few days back. Ironically enough, this occurred after Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner had a very public discussion on Instagram about going lighter, hair-wise. Coincidence? Nah. Kim later jokes in one of her Instagram stories that she beat "Khloe and Kylie to the punch." Well, we do love a healthy dose of sibling rivalry. And in other Kardashian-related news...

5. The latest beauty challenge has people shaving off their brows.

Nope, you're not reading that wrong. People are literally shaving off the tail-end of their brows to achieve the straighter shape sported by celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Doja Cat. Dubbed the Fox Eye challenge, beauty buffs are detailing their harrowing hack via TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram. Uh, we think we'll stick to faking it with concealers and glue sticks, thanks.

7. Supergoop! has just dropped the first-ever daytime eye cream that comes with SPF protection.

They've done it again, folks. This revolutionary innovation instantly brightens and hydrates the delicate eye area, protects it from UVA, UVB, and blue light, all while fighting signs of ageing such as wrinkles and fine lines. Scoop it up from Sephora, stat.

8. IDS opens its first-ever flagship outlet in the heart of Orchard.

Located at International Building, this mammoth outlet houses both IDS Aesthetics and IDS clinic, so you'll be able to do your favourite treatments and grab your preferred products before dashing off. How convenient.
