Camila Cabello to launch a Havana-inspired makeup collection with L'Oréal Paris
Ooh na na
There's a new celebrity makeup collection in town, and this time its millennial pop star Camila Cabello's turn. Let's start with the good news. Cabello's first ever makeup collaboration, with French cosmetics giant L'Oréal Paris is cheap and cheery with nothing over US$15. The bad news? The 14-piece collection is probably not going to be available anytime soon if its previous collab with Balmain was anything to go by. It is available on Ulta.com from 14 July, so head there if you don't mind using a forwarding service, as the site only ships within the US. We're here for the cute pink and green packaging with floral touches, and the fact that the makeup is actually inspired by the hit song, Havana. Does the makeup have any spicy, Cuban flavour? Think of it more as Havana lite.
According to Cabello's Instagram, the collection was inspired by what she normally wears, which if you're familiar with her look is pretty natural with a touch of winged liner. "The idea was to make a collection that was light and natural but glowy, fun, and high quality. I like to keep it natural when I'm not working —if I want to wear makeup I go with eyeliner, mascara, maybe an earthy eyeshadow, lip gloss and a light foundation and bronzer". As for her personal recommendations, Cabello singled out the "amazing" liquid liner and the light and glowy bronzer which comes in a liquid form. Even the fragrances of the makeup — yes, they put scents in there — were handpicked by her. Likely to appeal to her young fanbase, Cabello is well on her way to total pop star domination.
