Shadow play

Back to black: Tom Ford Beauty Noir Color Collection
Want to add a little drama to your makeup routine? Embrace the shadows with Tom Ford's Holiday makeup collection

Just in time for a holiday treat, Tom Ford introduces a limited-edition colour collection inspired by his fragrance Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme. All the products are packaged in glossy, jet-black packaging, so if you're the kind that can't resist a gorgeous collectible, head thee to a counter quick. We look at three ways and three makeup pieces from the collection that will help you amp up to vamp up your usual look.

1. You can intensify your smoky eye even more
The brand's Cream and Powder Eye Color now comes in the deepest shade of black (in the bottom layer) with reflective pearls (in the top layer) to create the ultimate, multi-dimensional smoky eye. Check out the gritty, yet glamorous look on model Daphne Groeneveld — tears not included.

Cream and Powder Eye Color in Night Sky, $94

2. Try other midnight hues
Rather than try and compete with the intense smokiness on the eyelids, make your lashes stand out with the Lash Tips Mascara in Cobalt — an intense and alluring midnight blue, worn only on the ends of lashes.

Lash Tips Mascara in Pure Cobalt, $72

3. Your nails are the perfect canvas to try out the shade
A tad too timid to pull off the bad girl look? Start small with your manicure (or pedicure). Tom Ford has kindly created the perfect shade of black polish called Black Out. Rather unusually, it is black with blue pearl pigments for an unexpected combination, that's equal parts fierce and fabulous.

Tom Ford Nail Lacquer in Black Out, $52

From $52-$94. At TANGS at Tang Plaza from 1 November
