Japanese cult beauty brand Albion has launched its makeup range in Singapore
By popular demand
We first got to know Albion in 2017 after an intimate sit-down session with its beauty advisors to get the dish on its best-sellers. Since then this premium Japanese brand has gone on to amass a following so big, they've got a waitlist for their La Poudre Haute Nuance Face Powder. Clearly, the brand loyalists have been clamouring for more Albion makeup. And if you're part of the fanclub, you'll be over the moon to know they're finally bringing in the rest of the makeup range as per your request.
You can expect the whole nine yards from Albion Elégance — so named as the makeup collection came about from partnering with European fashion brand Elégance — which includes colour-coordinated 4-pan eyeshadow palettes, eyebrow and eyeliner pencils, lippies of the stick and gloss variety, blusher, mascara, and even an eye makeup remover to take it all off. Everything is packaged in reflective gold casing, and all the products are lightly scented with a floral fragrance to add that extra sensory element when you're putting on your face. Formulated with skin-loving ingredients such as Japanese camellia seed oil and Centifolia rose extracts, you get the same award-winning quality the face powder is known for, on top of superior textures and a chic colour palette for the eyeshadows, lipsticks and lipglosses.
Before you hie off to the Albion counter though, here's a tip-off from the brand's international makeup artist, Souichi Nakasone (who was the man responsible for idol girl group AKB48's face paint, FYI): The mascara has just cinched top spot in Japan, and does it all from lengthening and volumising to holding an all-day curl. So now you know what's a must-have that will sell out in a snap. Time to prep your shopping list, stat.
The Albion Elégance makeup range is available exclusively at the Albion counter at Takashimaya, $24 - $74
