Mark Webber is the new face for Porsche Design fragrances
Australian racing driver Mark Webber has signed on as the face of the Porsche Design Fragrances campaign for 2015/16. Webber retired from Formula One racing after 12 years in 2013, but has rejoined Porsche in the LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2014, which he took part in on 13 June.
Besides the fact that the Australian embodies all the facets of brand, he has also proven to be strikingly photogenic in the campaign's images. "Mark Webber embodies masculinity, athleticism and the kind of stylishness our products also represent. The striking new campaign combines the essential values of the Porsche Design brand with Webber's charismatic personality," said Dilesh Mehta, CEO of SA Designer Parfums, Porsche Design's license partner.
Webber concurs. "The Porsche Design Fragrances scents are elegant and have a strong character," he said. "They emphasise my personal style and are a perfect match — both on and off the track." If you're curious as to what the scent, Titan, smells like, it is described as fresh and masculine with notes of grapefruit and cedar wood. And in keeping with the functional elements of the brand, the high-tech flaçon is strong and sleek, much like the racer himself.
