Regencycore is the latest makeup trend spotted at the Haute-Couture Spring Summer 2021 shows

If we were being pedantic, we would say it's a little too soon to declare Netflix's period drama, Bridgerton, a cultural phenomenon. And yet, there's no refuting its widespread influence that has permeated many an industry. Since its release late last year, the series has sparked its own TikTok musical; served as sartorial inspiration for designers aplenty (see: Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri); and spawned a 110% increase in Google searches for, uh, fancy tea sets compared to January 2020. The beauty realm is no exception, of course. The Haute-Couture Spring Summer 2021 presentations was proof enough; a visual feast of luminous visages, rouged cheeks, and artfully-strewn tresses that looked as if they emerged straight out of a Bridgerton episode. Welcome: the #Regencycore era. Wield those makeup brushes with your pinkies up, we say.
