If her time in the spotlight has proven anything, it is that Lady Gaga is not one to shy away from the bombastic or experimental. Her makeup at the Met Gala 2019 is evidence enough, comprising hot pink, rhinestone-studded lids and razor-sharp, five-inch long lashes accompanied by dripping crystals and iridescent gems. And that's just in recent times, mind. It's only natural, then, that her revolving repertoire of glitter-encrusted lids and knife-sharp liner is cause for wonder — namely, how on Earth is she keeping all that on?

Once a fiercely guarded secret of longtime makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, the cat is finally out of the bag with the release of Marc Jacobs Beauty's first-ever skincare product: the Youthquake Hydra-Full Retexturising Gel Crème.

Recent reports reveal that Gaga has been utilising said moisturiser throughout awards show season as well as during her press tour for A Star is Born. Tanno even opted to forego foundation for her Met Gala look. Instead, she applied a light touch of the Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick to Gaga's already luminous, soft focus skin, credited to the Youthquake Crème. Its stellar reputation is already making rounds amongst the celebrity set, with Priyanka Chopra, Lily Aldridge, and Lizzo calling themselves fans.

This is all to know about this multifunctional complexion powerhouse; celebrity star power well-deserved.

It hydrates

Packed with encapsulated sodium hyaluronate (similar to popular moisturising agent, hyaluronic acid), the cream provides lasting hydration for up to 24 hours; melting instantaneously to deliver on a glowing, natural sheen to skin.

It retexturises skin

Pineapple — a notable natural exfoliator — is one of the star ingredients of the cream. Pineapple enzymes in the formula exfoliates and removes dead skin to make way for new, brighter skin underneath.

It serves as setting primer

"It keeps makeup from piling," Tanno explains. "It also really helps it go on smoothly and makes makeup easy to blend out." This is credited to its inclusion of antioxidant-rich starfruit and dragonfruit extracts, both of which plump and smooth skin to allow for an effortless makeup application and stay.
