It's funny: when all was well pre-circuit breaker and Covid-19, we were in our lecture halls and offices lamenting and dreaming of staying home. Now that we're cooped up at home, we're dreaming of heading out and, uh yeah, going to the office.

"What's everyone else doing," I found myself frequently wondering while working from home. How exactly is everyone else managing all that boredom, restlessness, and anxiety creeping into our lives? (btw, let me know at gt@buro247.sg how you're coping!)

So, we shot some of our beauty friends around the globe a couple of emails to find out how they have been coping with the imposed quarantines, movement control orders, lockdowns, and circuit breakers.

And of course, these beauty wonderwomen have been making this period a productive and healing episode in their lives –– like the Texas-based Holly Thaggard, whom you might know also know as founder of our favourite sunscreen brand, Supergoop!.

Ready for the most wholesome, positive, and encouraging content you might have seen all week aka Holly's stay-home routine? Oh, yes, all photographs by Holly herself! Here we go:

Holly Thaggard, founder of Supergoop!, has been taking time out each morning to juice fresh fruits and vegetables.

1. Breakfast

"Right now, we have more time in the mornings since we're not taking the kiddos to school or going into the Supergoop! office. We've been taking the time each morning to juice fresh fruit and vegetables –– I've been loving a combination of apple, carrot, and spinach juices, which I find helpful to keep our immune systems strong."

2. But First, Sunscreen

"After breakfast –– but before going out for a walk with our new pup, Ellie –– I get ready with a quick WFH look that's heavy on skincare. I use Fresh's Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence, Herbivore Botanicals' Bakuchiol Serum, Summer Fridays Jetlag Mask when my skin is feeling dry, and top it off with our new Glowscreen SPF 40, which gives you a perfect no-makeup makeup, video chat-ready glow. In addition to UVA and UVB rays, it also protects against blue light, which is super important these days."

Note: Supergoop!'s latest Glowscreen SPF 40 will be available on sephora.sg on the 23 April 2020, retailing at $55.

3. Walk with Ellie

We adopted a new family member in early March –– and her name is Ellie! She's super sweet, and a great reason to get outside (at a safe distance!) each morning. We'll go for a quick walk around the neighbourhood, before I settle into work for the day.

4. Work from Home Station

Our whole team –– which is normally spread out between offices in San Antonio, New York, and beyond, with our Sunshine Squad sprinkled across the U.S., and our teammates in Singapore and Thailand –– is working remotely right now, so we're starting each day with a "Rise, Shine, and SPF" call to get the day focused. It's great to connect with the group, see their faces, and learn what they're focused on. After this, I start out on a day of calls, Zooms, and outreach to all of our partners to see how we can support them during this difficult time.

5. Break for Homework

My kiddos, Emery and Will, are doing school remotely, so I'll check in with them before lunch and see how I can help them. Fun fact: before founding Supergoop!, I was a third-grade teacher –– I loved teaching handwriting.

6. Harp Practice

Emery and I both play the harp, and we've been practicing together after we've wrapped our work for the day. One of the biggest life lessons I've learned from playing the harp is to break down big problems or challenges into smaller measures. It's been super helpful recently, as we've been tackling challenges that have come up in the past month.

7. Writing Snail Mail

We take a one-hour break as a full Supergoop! team each day at lunch time so that we're able to eat, workout, rest, and recharge for the day. I've been writing to my nieces, and this letter is going in the mail today. I love stationery and a handwritten note, and with so much happening virtually right now, it's really nice to receive mail.

8. Dinner Time

Since we've been home, we've really loved cooking together. Tonight, we're making gumbo, which is a family favourite. On Fridays, we always make pizza as a family, and even as we've been staying home, that tradition hasn't changed.

9. Game Time

Every night after dinner, Will and I have played Yahtzee, which is a really fun way to unwind without a screen.

We've also been loving Monopoly as a family (Ellie loves it too!), which we all love.

10. Winding Down

At night, I've been winding down with bath and book most nights, and take time to go through my skincare routine. I've been loving Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum, Fresh's Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream, Tatcha's Indigo Hand Cream and Caudalie's Overnight Detox Oil. And then, it's time for bed!
