How to re-create Chanel's gorgeous blushing makeup look from the fall/winter 2019 runway
At first blush
The fine line between 'healthy flush' and 'completely red-faced' is something us Singaporeans flirt with on a regular basis. The former: achievable after a light game of squash, provided said partner is of the non-hypercompetitive sort accompanied by air-conditioning on full blast. The latter: instantly achieved a mere five minutes after jogging outdoors.
It is a tough balance to strike — so why not just skip it completely and fake it with makeup, instead? At least, that's what we gathered upon laying eyes on the dewy skin and impeccably flushed cheeks at Chanel's fall/winter 2019 show. We hear from Chanel's Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica, on tips and tricks to mastering the rosy look.
When inspiration strikes
"The makeup was very fresh with a strong masculine touch in the groomed and defined eyebrows. The girls were meant to look fresh, having been in a cold snowy day at the Chalet Gardénia. The masculine feminine vibe in the collection inspired the prominent masculine brows opposed to the super fresh cheeks."
On the full yet defined brows
"Draw little upwards hair with the Crayon Sourcils and blend them with Les Pinceaux De Chanel - Retractable Dual-Tip Brow Brush. Apply Le Gel Sourcils to diffuse and make the finish less defined."
On the fresh-faced complexion
"My favourite product is Les-Beiges Water Fresh Tint. It gives a homogeneous yet invisible finish to skin."
