#WomanCrushWednesday: Sophie Turner
Sansa Stark may be one of the unluckiest heroines in literary (and television) history in HBO's Game of Thrones, but don't confuse her with the statuesque English actress playing her. Sophie Turner has been turning heads not just for her height (1.75m) and glorious tresses (lustrous, flaming red), but for her sophisticated beauty. And besides her iconic turn as, perhaps, the longest suffering Stark — from witnessing her father's beheading at the hands of her Justin Bieber-like fiancé to marrying a (altogether different kind of) monster — she will be moving on to bigger things. Turner will star as the titular character in the biopic Mary Shelley's Monster and as a young Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men:Apocalypse. We're placing our bets on her being one of the breakout stars from the series.
But because we're here to extol her pulchritudinous charms — seriously the woman has great hair — we present you five times Sophie Turner rocked her braids on the red carpet. From a regal crown braid to her mastery of the fishtail to a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cornrow, you know what they say: You can imitate but probably not duplicate these.
