Take a peek at Nars' glamorous spring makeup collection
Spring it on
Don't let it be said that one can't get endless inspiration from the past. This spring, Nars creator François Nars, was inspired once again by the glamour of the '70s and there's certainly a throwback vibe seen in the campaign images of Nars' longtime muse, Daria Strokous (above) that remind us a bit of the now-iconic image of Adwoa Aboah on new editor-in-chief Edward Enninful's first ever issue of British Vogue. But make no mistake about it, the makeup is set firmly in this decade thanks to the excellent textures and colour payoff of the formulas, that the brand is known for.
The collection boasts colours that will give a sophisticated take on neutrals. Firstly, the eyes are all about muted, antique silver tones with the Velvet Shadow Sticks in a light peacock and a soft pewter shade that will give your smoky shadow dimension and sparkle. The new product, is the limited edition Lip Cover, a saturated, full-coverage liquid lipstick that comes in four shades. Our favourite is the cheekily-named Hell Gate, a black cherry that looks sensational on all skin tones. Lastly if you loved the liquid version of the brand's best-selling Orgasm blush, there's a new shade this Spring, Hot Tin Roof, a shimmery brick red that will create a dramatic flush worthy of a Tennesse Williams' play.
